Don’t get me wrong, I love TikTok as much as the next person, but I don’t always love each trend. There are lots that I do though, so let’s have a January recap as the month draw to an end.

Remember it’s normal for life to look like this

I always love a down to earth, real post that shows people social media lies to us (let’s face it, no one is actually doing a 15 step skincare routine every night) and I think it’s so important to remember what’s normal, like loneliness, laziness and being alone. 20/10 for this trend.

You’re so funny… Thanks

I love a lighthearted giggle and this trend succeeds in that. TikTok is meant to be a fun app and it’s important to remember to have a bit of fun sometimes, even if people do use this trend as an excuse to trauma dump occasionally lol.

POV: my roomates all get along

I think these kind of trends are so wholesome and pure and all about genuine friendship which is something everyone needs more of in 2025.

Yes it was funny the first ten times I saw it, is it still funny? No, not really. Some trends have short lifespans and this should be one of them.
