Five Books I Am DETERMINED To Read Over Summer šŸŒøā˜€ļø

Happy Spring! The Sun is finally shining and Easter is here as well. As so many people are, I am counting the days down until summer (which I have some exciting plans for so stay tuned to see what I get up to). As a busy and exhausted final year uni student I have seriously neglected one of my favourite hobbies: READING. Don’t get me wrong, I read a lot, but it’s always for my degree, so my resolution this year was to read for fun more and my Summer goal is to read LOADS but at the very least- these five books:

  1. A court of thorns and roses by Sarah J Maas

I know I am massively late to the trend but this book has been sitting on my shelf for ages and I would love to read a long fantasy series again and I should have the time over summer.

2. The graveyard book by Neil Gaiman

I went to a reading of this book for a Halloween event a couple of years ago and was hooked- I’m not normally into the genre but I really want to try something different.

3. Nights at the circus by Angela Carter

A cult classic and I am a little ashamed to admit I haven’t read it yet so this just had to make the list.

4. Conversations with friends by Salley Rooney

As every woman under 25, I loved (or loved to be mad at) Normal People and started conversations with friends but had to put it down in favour of assignments and module reading lists so I’d love to finish it over summer- especially as there’s a tv series as well.

5. Powerless by Lauren Roberts

I actually bought this book when I went on a fantasy rampage a while ago and still haven’t read it (I know I am the worst for collecting books) and with the release of Fearless recently it has come back onto my radar and I can’t wait to read it.

What are your summer reading goals? Let me know in the comments!
