Hello readers! It’s been a while since I posted on my little blog but I am back before the peak of summer to help you curate a certifiably sunshiney bucket list to make the most out of the long summer days.
Whether you want to spend them curled up with a book, dripping in ice cream or swimming in the sea, there’s something for you!
- Go stargazing

Something about this feels quintessentially summery and a perfect way to still get outside when the days are too hot. It can be a very calming thing to do if you’re prone to anxiety and a way to receive a little pocket of magic.
2. Go to a drive in movie

There are so many of these popping up all over the place here in the UK, google if there are any near you this summer! They often show classic films which can be really fun and often offer classic movie snacks.
3. Watch a sunset

…or a sunrise if that’s more your thing! Make the most of the longer summer days and warm early mornings.
4. Go swimming

Whether that’s at the beach, in a lake, a pool, you decide! Natural/ freshwater swimming spots can be really fun if you don’t live near the beach.
5. Go to a concert or open air theatre

This time of year is brilliant for concerts with warmer, longer evenings and outdoor theatre can be such a fun way to experience a play.
6. Paddle board

These are often available to hire at beaches or you can even get really good blow up ones to use! It does take some practice though so try not to fall off.
7. Go to the aquarium

When better to go and see tropical fish than summer? If swimming is not your thing then this is the next best thing, plus they usually have air conditioning in!
8. Make fresh bread

Summer picnics and summer sandwiches will be elevated so much by a fresh slice of home made bread. Whether you want to try your hand at sourdough, focaccia, rolls… the sky is the limit.
9. Make some sand art

This can be such a fun thing to do at the beach when you’re not wanting to swim and can make for some really cool photos.
10. Go forest bathing

My mum recently told me about this and I have been obsessed with the idea ever since. Forest bathing is when you lie down on the forest floor and ground yourself, looking up at the sky and tree canopy and immersing your senses in the sounds and smells of nature.
Let me know if you plan to try any of these or what you have on your bucket list for summer in the comments! ☀️🏄🏖️🍦🌴🍒
